ROLE: Maintenance Technician – Build to Rent

LOCATION: Weir Mill / Stockport

SALARY: Competitive, depending on experience

We are currently seeking a hardworking and experienced Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for providing on-site maintenance to our second operational asset in our Build to Rent (BtR) platform at Weir Mill in Stockport.

The development is due to complete in April 2026, Weir Mill is a mixed-use development of 254 apartments next door to Stockport train station. It is home to bars, eateries, coffee shops and stores, alongside a new lush, green public square designed for socialising, events and al fresco eats.

Capital&Centric alongside Ollo is bringing the best of city life to thesuburbs, with a resident’s amenity including a residents’ lounge and co-working space, mini cini, gym and fitness studio, and private dining room. Weir Mill is the fourth asset out of a growing pipeline of 2,000 BtR apartments (with over 600 apartments currently under construction) across Capital&Centric’s portfolio of regeneration projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Deliver first class customer service.

• Reactive and proactive maintenance tasks as directed by the General Manager for the development.

• Minor joinery, plumbing and maintenance works, painting and touch ups.

• Planned maintenance tasks including testing of systems and recording all tests.

• Maintain cleaning standards on site-jet washing, and litter picking.

• Ensure health and safety on site including removing trip hazards and reporting all faults.

• Furniture rotation, assembly and tracking.

• Basic grounds maintenance including taking care of planters and hard and soft landscaping.

• Preparing apartments during the resident move in/out process.

• Submitting material and supply requests to the General Manager.

• Consistently deliver the Capital&Centric service standard to residents and all visitors to the building.

• Provide informed and accurate information to residents where required.

REQUIREMENTS.

• A Multi skilled tradesperson with experience in painting & decorating, joinery, minor plumbing and general maintenance.

• Excellent customer relations skills, a sense of humour and plenty of energy and enthusiasm.

• Excellent communication skills.

• A strong team player who is happy to assist others to achieve a team goal with a can-do attitude and willing to go the extra mile.

• Able to work on own Initiative and take responsibility for providing solutions.

• Proactive and dynamic, taking ownership of all of core duties.

• Able to deliver multiple tasks and priorities workloads.

• Professional presentation, confident and outgoing nature.

• Well organised, ability to problem solve and works well under pressure with great decision making skills.

• Act with integrity and professionalism.

THE PACKAGE.
